Based on calls received by Kurio Support, here are the top reasons an agent is not able to register for Kurio. Call us immediately if these solutions do not work for you!
A. Invalid Password
This is the #1 issue that Support gets calls about. There are several reasons why your password would be invalid.
1. Your password is probably stored in the MLS database with some capital letters. (It's a dirty secret, but trust us, your password probably has some capital letters in it.)
When you register for Kurio your password must be entered in the correct case.
Solution: If Kurio does not accept your password then just try entering it in a different case and Kurio will eventually accept it. Do this even if you know for 100% that your password is only in lowercase letters.
eg password, Password, PASSWORD, pASSWORD
2. The password may have been entered incorrectly.
We call this a typo. This frequently happens on the small mobile keyboards.
Solution: Try registering for Kurio on a laptop or desktop computer. That may sound odd but we get many calls each day agents who cannot regsiter on their mobile devices but it works everytime when we get them to try from their desktop.
3. The wrong password is being used.
Most agents have a lot of passwords. To check if you are using the correct password, simply log into your MLS system on your desktop computer. Then use that username and password to register for Kurio. We get several calls a day that are resolved by doing this step.
B. Email address is already in use by another Kurio user
There are 2 situations here.
A. An account was previously created.
The Agent already created an account and forgot that they did it. Or, an assistant created the account and forgot to let the Agent know. Or, a Public account was accidentally created when attempting to create an Agent Account.
Solution: Read the message Kurio is displaying and it should indicate that an Account already exists. Use the "Can't Login? Forgot Password? " link that shows up below the Sign In button and Kurio will email you your user name and password.
B. Some Kurio implementations include Public access.
Kurio accounts must have an unique username and email address. You will get this error message if you first created a Public Account and then tried to create an Agent account but tried to use the same email address for both accounts.
Solutions: Cancel the Public account.to free up the email address or use a different email address for the Agent account.
C. There's Gremlins in the system
